The Experience
From our first meeting I will spend time learning about you and your fiancé, your aesthetic, your personal style and lifestyle, as well as your vision for your wedding. This is our time to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit.
A custom inspiration board will be created for you upon booking with me. We will then schedule studio session for you and your fiancé ideally 2-3 months prior to the wedding. This is where we’ll work together on ideas for the composition and pose for the final painting. Brides - this is a great opportunity for hair and makeup trials. Grooms - this is your time to hone your best ‘Blue Steel’.
I will then work on the composition in studio to have the painting underway before the wedding takes place. My painting process is methodical, typically taking 200-300 hours to build layers, color and detail. With enough time before the wedding, you can expect me to have the main parts of the painting mostly rendered. At the wedding, I will capture more reference images of the wedding atmosphere and paint live as entertainment for 5-6 hours during your cocktail hours & reception.
Your painting will continue to develop as details are enhanced in studio after the wedding. Delivery depends on the complexity of the composition with an 8 month minimum. This timeline is crucial to the longevity of the painting as the meticulous process of oil paint application and ample dry time is necessary for a museum quality Wedding Portrait.
*Humidity greatly affects this process, and can extend delivery.
If you choose to have your painting fully completed and on display at your wedding, we will schedule the portrait session no less than 8 months prior to your wedding day with an additional fee due to prioritization ahead of other deliveries.
Leave a lasting mark on your world.

First, oil paint is archival, we have oil paintings dating back to the 15th century.
Second, the chemical structure of oil paint (in person) allows multiple layers of color to be seen at the same time causing the painting to have a life-like glow.
But most of all, I LOVE painting in oil
