2024 Met Gala “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” Wedding Inspiration
This week Vogue announced the 2024 Met Gala theme “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” and I am here for it! Let’s look at some wedding elements inspired by the upcoming Gala!
According to the article written by Luke Leitch for Vogue the exhibit will be comprised of fashion history spanning 400 years from the Elizabethan Era forward. The reason for the title “Sleeping Beauties…” is some of the older garments have become incredibly delicate with age, such as the cloud motif Ball Gown below created in 1877 by Charles Frederick Worth. Many will be on display to the public for the first time and the exhibition will use technologies like, AI, CGI, video animation, and light projection to help visualize some of the more delicate pieces.
